Bob Maier has extensive experience in the consulting, development and management of medical imaging services. He was instrumental in the development of a best practice model for radiology management services. He also has developed radiology networks designed to provide cost effective access for managed care contracting. He has consulted with large and small hospitals in the design and implementation of strategic plans for clinical services.
Prior to becoming a founding partner of Regents Health Resources, Bob spent four years with Imaging Resource Management as Senior Vice President. He was Chief Operating Officer of IRM’s parent company, as well as Executive Vice President of Healthcare Resource Management, Inc. His focus was the outsourcing of radiology management services.
Bob served as president of LINC Management Services, a Chicago-based consulting firm specializing in the development of new medical services, from 1984 to 1992. In this capacity, he developed and consulted on diagnostic imaging, cancer treatment and ambulatory surgery centers as well as medical office buildings. In 1986, Mr. Maier was appointed to the Board of Directors of LINC Venture Lease Partners, the venture capital arm of the LINC Group.
He also served as President of Heights General Hospital, an HCA-managed hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 1982 to 1984. From 1977 to 1982, he was consecutively, Vice President of Finance, Assistant Administrator and President of University Heights Hospital in Albuquerque.
Bob holds a B. S. degree in business administration (summa cum laude) from the University of Albuquerque and has completed work toward a master’s degree in Management at the University of New Mexico. Mr. Maier began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young in Albuquerque. He spent six years in the U.S. Air Force, serving in England, the Netherlands and New Mexico.
